About
The Bosch 800 Series SHX78CM5N is part of the Dishwashers test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Dishwashers models like the 800 Series SHX78CM5N are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.
Washing: Assessed by running the sensor, normal or equivalent cycle to clean a full load of dishes with baked-on food.
Drying: Drying is our assessment of how thoroughly a model dries plastic items, the most stubborn in any load. We evaluate drying performance using the same cycle we use for our Washing test. As directed by manufacturers, we use rinse aid in every load.
Energy use: The normal cycle is used for the yellow energy sticker. Our score is based on the selected wash cycle. The largest portion is needed for heating water, both at the water heater and in the machine.

Electra Appliance Gallery made choosing the best washer and dryer an easy and enjoyable experience. Emanuel was fantastic to work with—he’s incredibly knowledgeable and guided us to the perfect appliances for our needs. The delivery by Harjit was just as impressive. He handled everything with great care and attention to detail, ensuring the appliances were set up perfectly without any issues. Harjit’s friendly demeanor and efficiency made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend both the store and their delivery service!

January 23, 2025Our washer broke unexpectedly this week, and they were able to send us a variety of options to fix or replace our unit. Within a few days our new washer was delivered and installed, and our old washer was removed. The sales person and installer were both pleasant to deal with and answered all our questions promptly. Would use again.

Great experience with Electrafix! Their techs really know what they are talking about, I’ve had great experiences with them. Zach was able to quickly diagnose my issue, and explained next steps. Overall a super positive experience and a company I recommend. Special thanks to Harjit for the weekend install.

July 17, 2023My Landlord replaced the broken dryer machine with a used one and it came so dirty and full of dust that made me sick! I never bought a used appliance, so I don’t know if it’s normal to receive a dirty appliance. Emanuel told me that I’m problematic with OCD because I complained that the machine was dirty. Never more this Company 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Five stars to Electra Appliance! After lousy disappointing service from Canadian Appliance Source (delivering a $1500 broken Electrolux to us), I found Electra via a Google search. Reviews from previous customers were solid. So I went to their Delta location and bought a used Samsung washer and paid for their 2 year warranty on it which literally gives total peace of mind for the next 2 years. Today, working on this statutory holiday Good Friday, Jeet was extraordinarily polite, calling 15 minutes before arrival. He installed the Samsung, gave suggestions, and WAITED while the washer ran through a cycle to show me it was working! (CAS techs just installed the broken Electrolux and promptly left; they did not check anything.) Jeet then went ABOVE and beyond and with the help of my son, stacked and installed my existing dryer, which he totally did not have to do. I highly recommend Electra and am now thinking of getting a dishwasher and also my parents appliances from there since they have a Burnaby location as well! THANK YOU JEET, PRI and EMMANUEL for your excellent customer service!!!

Among workhorse. Extremely quiet, however, one can hear the water going down the drain line. One can placed soiled dishes directly in it and expect them to come out extremely clean. This dishwasher is that good. The most challenging step is to muster the willpower and go against the grain and buy a brand of dishwasher that’s Bosch!

We recently upgraded to the Bosch 24″ SHX78CM5N, and we couldn’t be more impressed. The 42 dB noise level is so quiet that we barely notice when it’s running. The third rack is a game-changer for organizing silverware and utensils. Installation was straightforward, and it easily connects to our HomeConnect app for wireless control.
